If you are new to our page - Welcome! Did you know that every town has a Democratic Town Committee? As part of our country’s two party system— this is one of the designated ways YOU can get involved with your government, plus help with voting, elections, or advocating for matters important to you. Here you will find information about our meetings, events, and members, as well as Democratic elected officials, opportunities, and issues facing our town.
EAST LYME DEMOCRATS are working to preserve and protect our environment, support educational opportunities for our children, ease the burden on seniors, eliminate bigotry of all kinds, promote smart, sustainable growth, and provide transparency and accountability in local government. Further, we believe these aims need not be inconsistent with a healthy economy and support of small business and large local employers.
WE INVITE YOU TO GET INVOLVED.
Come to an ELDTC monthly meeting, find us on Facebook or Instagram, or become a promoter! You do not need to be a Town Committee member to get involved— or even a registered Democrat. But we are especially glad when Democrats come to check out what is happening.
