Planning Alternates

CINDY COLLINS has lived in Niantic’s Pine Grove neighborhood for 30 years. She graduated from Manchester Community College with an Associate’s Degree and paralegal certification. Cindy is excited to have recently retired from a 20-year career in real estate to have more time for her 12 grandchildren and to serve the people of East Lyme. Cindy aims to support our thriving town as a place to both live and visit.

At 20 years old, SAM SIMS is one of the youngest - if not the youngest - candidates in East Lyme's history. Sam graduated with an Associate's Degree in Political Science from Three Rivers Community College and presently attends Central Connecticut State University. He has served on the Inland Wetlands Agency since he was old enough to vote and, if elected, will continue protecting the town's natural resources and its picturesque charm. Additionally, as a young person, Sam provides a unique view of planning and housing issues, and will ensure that young people's voices and opinions are represented in town government.
