for East Lyme Planning Commission
Nina Franco is a dedicated public servant, environmental professional, and retired teacher who seeks to bring a practical, balanced, community-oriented approach to the Planning Commission for the benefit of the town's future.
With a background as a naturalist and currently working at Rocky Neck State Park, Nina possesses a unique understanding of the intersection between community development and environmental stewardship. Her hands-on experience— from managing invasive species to safely resolving conflicts with wildlife—has honed her skills as a pragmatic problem-solver who delivers results.
Nina is presently an Alternate for the Planning Commission, and now seeks a formal seat. Through this experience, she has gained valuable insight into the processes and challenges of town planning— and is committed to fostering smart, sustainable growth that preserves the natural character and quality of life that makes East Lyme so special.

Gary Cicchiello is running for re-election to the Board of Assessment Appeals, where he has served repeated terms with fairness, integrity, and a commitment to the community.
A proud resident for 18 years, Gary lives in East Lyme with his wife, Ann, having raised their two grown children here. He brings 30 years of experience as an attorney and partner in a busy civil litigation law firm, where he built a career on careful research, thoughtful writing, and respect for all parties.
While the practice of law can be adversarial, Gary’s approach is always to seek fair and balanced solutions, a commitment which he brings to every appeal before the Board. He is dedicated to ensuring that every resident is treated with fairness, transparency, and professionalism.
